Kalkan

An Elegant
Harbour-Side Town

Kalkan is an elegant harbour-side town, which clings to a steep cliff and overlooks a beautiful bay. It has a good selection of small shops, together with numerous seafront restaurants and bars.

Many of these are situated on roof terraces with fabulous views over the bay and small harbour — creating long, unhurried dinners that last well into the evening.

A Greek Architectural Legacy

Kalkan's Greek origin can still be seen in its distinctive architecture, which is very similar to that of the nearby Greek Island of Meis (Castellorizo).

There's also a Greek Orthodox Church by its harbour which has since been converted into a mosque — a quiet testimony to the town's layered, cross-cultural past.
